We saw. The truth is we saw the writing on the wall when SDK updates stopping coming. I'm still a bit surprised by the decision, especially not to try for version 3 with a much better form factor.

That said, I've been personally spending some time planning our next gen voice interface. It will be microphone agnostic (unlike our current one which is tied to the Kinect), still feature the same great performance and far-field capabilities, and don't hold us to it, but right now we're planning to open source the code for the new voice interface.

This brings me back to the question I posted in another thread, how is integration of Echo progressing? Have you evaluated the Echo Plus with built in Zigbee hub? Looks like it has the tools to become something very useful.

Hmmm, looking at the forum in general, it seems that there has been no posts for over a month on ANY subjects, save for my one post which went unanswered (but seems to have fixed itself - likely a Windows update-related issue) it would seem that the whole Castle OS world has become a ghost town, is the entire COS project dead?

Not at all! CastleOS 2.0 turned into a larger redesign, and it's almost complete. We're even building a new app for controlling the system, and making the Core Service cross-platform capable. Next beta coming the first week of the new year!

How is this update coming? Is the new app available? I am wondering if it will help my issue of the dimmer control unavailable on my Samsung S7 (see this post: https://castleos.com/forum/topic1084-android-app-has-no-dimmers.aspx?lastpage=1#post8538 ).

Hey Kevin, are you using the latest beta? This issue should have been resolved for you a couple versions ago. On my Samsung S8 it's working normally.

I'll be making a separate post about the new update I'm about to post sometime this weekend.

So the latest update is from 9/14/17? or is it somewhere other than the drive folder?
