Question: I read a post about some mini PC not being able to handle a kinect. Can you refresh my memory I cant find it, or maybe it was regarding the Raspberry Pi3 .Would this be fine: Minix Neo z83-4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M24W77N/ref=psdc_13896591011_t1_B01KY0Y26IWith a Insteon module and a kinect. Also I am kind of confused what kinect does Castle support for windows or x box, V1,V2. Thanks.

It was prob the Ras Pi that you are thinking of, it doesn't support Kinect but the Mini PCs do. The one you link should be fine, but hasn't been specifically tested.
For the Kinects themselves, we support them all, but depending on the version you'll need the Windows adapter to enable the USB plug to work.
Thanks!

thanks, Another question. Is castle currently supporting the Isy 994 controller, controlling the Insteon devices with the PLM. And how does the Hue connect to castle, using the HUE bridge? or something else.
Thanks.

Hi Dasler, the ISY controller for INSTEON is not needed as CastleOS can natively perform those functions.
Our IP cam functionality is still in development, but that Lorex IP camera will be supported. We will have full camera playback and recording capabilities built into CastleOS.
Thanks!

Another question does it make a difference if the PLM is serial or USB? or that is more depending if the PC can support serial ty.

that good to know. thanks. Another question, I send you a PM not sure if you got it. I asked if voxcommando could integrate with castleos there are 2 good demos on youtube of that program I will link them later. it seem is more like a conversation than a direct command type of program. not sure if you have seen them. ty.

There's no reason someone couldn't build an extension to connect the two, but we haven't done that. Our voice control is more powerful and reliable than VoxCommando's, so there hasn't been a need for that to date.

You can do things like that with our voice control, but with the Kinect you can just speak out load, no tablet needed.
For the adapter, you would need either of those cables, depending on the version of the Kinect you want to use.

nice to know, I should have asked this earlier. would you say the kinects are about the same as far as voice recognition? version 1 vs version 2.
That way I know the one to get.

I think v2 is technically a bit better, but you'll be fine with either.

Are the hue motion sensor supported?
If yes, which one you think would be better to integrate with the hue bulbs Insteon motion sensor or hue sensor.
Ty.

Hi Dasler, with the upcoming update the Hue motion sensor is supported! This should be a better performing sensor than the INSTEON version.
Thanks, Chris
