Now that I feel that I am not near as inexperienced as I was the last time we spoke about this topic (and I apologize for that) I was hoping that I could request just 1 thing? If CastleOS could discover when the Lynx was in Away, Home or Stay Modes then ALL of the events could be configured with the "system mode changes" under the triggered event type steps within the event features of CastleOS. This would be fantastic and everything else would be able to be controlled from those simple identifiers. Thanks for your additional consideration! Tim

Hi Tim, no problem! Regarding the status modes from the Lynx, I think this would be possible by configuring the Z-Wave settings in the Lynx itself, though I have to admit I'm not intimately familiar with the settings options. Have you taken a look at the customization options within the Lynx panel to see if it offers the ability to associate those modes to a Z-Wave device?
Thanks!

It has the capability to control up to 10 z wave devices without having to pay a monthly payment. I initially used it to control the door locks but I found the zwave controller signal to be weak. I now use CastleOS on a timer to control them. It was nice to use the code to unlock the door and have the door lock disarm the alarm for me though! The distance between the panel and my hub is about 20 feet and 1 wall. The rules area only allows zones to be activated or deactivated with the away or stay triggers. I can not find a zwave controlled that way in scenes, rules or in the zwave program edited by Tabcab1329 on 3/10/2017 edited by Tabcab1329 on 3/10/2017

Hi Tim, I did some research about this and unfortunately it appears I gave you some bad info. I was under the impression the Lynx allows you to send messages to other Z-Wave controllers to activate a scene, which would then be used as you intend. Sadly, this is not the case. The Honeywell Lynx cannot work with another controller like CastleOS, it is an isolated system. Honeywell has chosen not to implement this Z-Wave capability. They never added the capability into the Lynx to allow it to trigger other systems, or have other systems trigger it. CastleOS can only act as a secondary controller to the Lynx, or the Lynx a secondary controller to CastleOS, but they can't talk to each other. That said, you should be able to restore your code to unlock feature, while also allowing CastleOS to control the locks, though I don't know if the range will still be an issue. You'll want to go into the Lynx advanced Z-Wave settings, and press "Learn". Then, in CastleOS, press Add Device in the Z-Wave settings. This should teach the Lynx about all the Z-Wave devices you have linked to CastleOS. Here is a guide in case you don't already have it: https://www.security.honeywell.com/documents/800-16091_Z-Wave_PG.pdf

What Zwave capability would allow one primary controller to send messages to another primary controller?

The confusion is over the fact that the alarm cannot act as a "Z-Wave Alarm", just as a controller.

My Lynx panel does recognize the locks under the automation icon but they are non functioning. Cant get it to repair, reinstall etc... They have an error message that reads "Still not ready" It does register the panel as a secondary zwave only controller.

Not sure about that one, sorry. To confirm, they respond via CastleOS, but not via the Lynx? You might want to give Honeywell support a call if that's the case.
