Hello,
You may find answering the question in its requested form trivial. however, to me its confusing to determine what a plm is when you compare it to the actual device names. if i am confused i am sure others are as well.
I am looking to purchase a new interface and i don't want to waste my time purchasing the wrong item.
Hopefully this clears up the reason behind my info request. |

shortcut to casstle OS i sinvalid

Installed fresh copy of Windows 7 professional 32bit version.
1Gig ram
AVG 2013 (free edition)
Google Chrome
explorer 9
latest build of the beta CastleOS software.
When i click on the short cut it states, that the shortcut is not valid.
exact error The target "" of the internet shortuct is not valid.
But then it starts up anyway. |

Windows 2003 pro 32 bit version brand new OS build.
All updates applied. 2413U PLM shown as unknown in device manager?
Am i the only one having this problem? |

Hi, so I installed that executable and now it understand what the USB device is. However, the fun does not stop here.
I have tried to install CastleOs on port 1 ( the response I get back is
"Unable to contact the PLM. Please try another COM port, and ensure it's connected"
I have installed Castle OS on port 3 and 4 and I get either a redirect loop or what appears to be a good install but I am not able to control anything via CastleOS.
When I look at the error xml file I see that access is denied for comport 3 and 4?
the latest install shows this in the error log:

yes I can see on the CastleOS 1,3 and 4
here is what is see in device manager..
USB port com 4
ECP lpt 1 ( printer cant us)
com 1 communications port |

i have tried all available on the welcome screen, i have installed as Administrator as well, no change.
i think i have a bad PLM |

every install has been a clean install. meaning, i deleted all entries from programdata ( castleOS) I have removed the software using the un installer, and removed util dev as well. The last attempt was com 4.
I will try clean install now and get back to you in a few minutes following the directions mentioned above. by the way I mentioned earlier that the urls that are created by the installer and placed on the desktop do not work,. that has not changed..it still gives the same error with a blank url in quotes

So it found the power linc USB Modem ( Dual-Band0 [2413]
but I am not able to add any devices
this is pointing to a bad PLM, I would like to get an exchange..
