Alright, so downloaded 1.3.3301, was the fix supposed to be in this one, or a later release still coming?

You would create an event for that, and use one device as the trigger to turn on another device.

How do I choose a specific button on the remote?

Specific buttons are defined as "channels". So in the event you would select first "Device Channel" and then then channel (i.e. "Button 1", "Button 2", etc.)

There is a new USB stick that has Z-Wave and ZigBee built in, and you can use both simultaneously from the same stick. We are working to integrate that now (the Z-Wave portion already is compatible). We also support a couple ZigBee gateways, Lightify and Hue.

This brings me back to the question I posted in another thread, how is integration of Echo progressing? Have you evaluated the Echo Plus with built in Zigbee hub? Looks like it has the tools to become something very useful.

We saw. The truth is we saw the writing on the wall when SDK updates stopping coming. I'm still a bit surprised by the decision, especially not to try for version 3 with a much better form factor.

That said, I've been personally spending some time planning our next gen voice interface. It will be microphone agnostic (unlike our current one which is tied to the Kinect), still feature the same great performance and far-field capabilities, and don't hold us to it, but right now we're planning to open source the code for the new voice interface.

I'm running 1.3.3301.
I want to get the motion detector to trigger an event but no luck with the trigger running.
The Log shows the sensor is working (Updated Status of X Sensor (Z-Wave Devices) from 0 to 100 and back to 0).
The Event config is Trigger-> Device Changes Status->Device = the sensor's name X->Property Changes-> motion detected.
After configuring and saving, the GUI shows the "Event Triggers" =X. Nothing about property changes/motion detected.
For the device itself, the config has Type=Other; Humidity Sensor, Luminosity Sensor, Motion Sensor, Temperature Sensor, UV Sensor and Vibration Sensor check boxes marked.

Is this a bug, and if not, what should the config be?

Any update on native Zigbee implementation?
This might be an inroad for seamless Echo integration using the soon-to-be-released Echo Plus which has a Zigbee hum integrated...

Pinging this thread.

I would really like to have echo or the upcoming echo plus integrate into my Insteon system through the portable USB-stick PLM or the old (2242) hub without having to go to the cloud (except for Alexa's voice decoding).

No problem! is that release the "New Beta Version Available" its notifying me about at the top of my portal, or another release?

So while there is a bug, your config is also slightly off. This:

Conditions
and System Mode is equal to Off
or System Mode is equal to Home

Should be this:

Conditions
or System Mode is equal to Off
or System Mode is equal to Home

ahhh, Thank you for explaining, i better understand your conditions setup now. I have updated my configs accordingly

Sorry about the confusion Scott - Betas are on the Download page, primarily. The beta folder which I'm guessing you tried should really be renamed to "alpha folder" now.

Regarding the change log we have it, but I need to translate it from developer speak to human speak before I post it smile

Chris,
Can you post patch notes here (or somewhere) whenever a new Beta is released? I grabbed the version from 9/14/17, but have no idea what's changed or what to test, so can't give any useful feedback.

Also, after installing 1.3.3210, CastleOS is showing there's a new Beta version available, but there's nothing new to download (latest is still from 9/14).

Also, this is a good place to clarify the intended behavior:

All
conditions with an "and" must be met in order for the event to run (unless an "or" is defined and met).

Any condition with an "or" will allow the event to be run, ignoring all other "or" and "and" conditions.

If you want to use more advanced logic than this, the proper way in CastleOS is to write a condition script. Though we may add in the future the ability to group (or tie) conditions together, thus allowing a second level of "and" and "or" via the GUI as well.
